[ WHO'S BEHIND THIS ]

Built for private deals where trust is thin and money is real.

A real person built this. Here is who, and why.

MADGRZ · ELK HUNTER · MONTANA · 30+ DEALS ON ROKSLIDE CLASSIFIEDS

Hi, I'm MADGRZ on Rokslide. I've done more than 30 deals in the classifieds, I hunt elk, and I live in Montana. I've been on both ends of the nervous part: the buyer about to send money to a stranger, and the seller being asked to prove I'm legit.

I learned to be skeptical the hard way. In college I bought a pair of “high-end” speakers off a guy working out of an A/V delivery truck. Too-good-to-be-true price, pressure to decide right now, the whole act. I got them home and the boxes were filled with concrete. Real boxes, real badges, fake everything. I never saw that money again.

I've been suspicious of deals I can't verify ever since, and online it's only gotten worse. A scammer can fake a listing photo in under a minute now. A forum handle isn't an identity. The one thing that's genuinely hard to fake is a live video, recorded right then, answering a prompt the seller couldn't have known in advance.

I took my first programming class, C++ at Georgetown, and I've been building things ever since. So when I kept seeing “keep your head on a swivel” threads in the classifieds, I built the tool I wish I'd had with those speakers. The first DealProof was one I ran myself: a deal, a pair of binoculars, and a word said out loud on camera: BROWTINE. It worked. So I built the version anyone can use.

DealProof doesn't touch your money. It isn't escrow, a marketplace, or payment protection. It's a way to ask for proof, and a record that the proof happened. It's the closest thing to meeting in person, when you can't.

I'm not a faceless company. If something breaks, if you have a question, or if you want to tell me this is a dumb idea, the email below reaches me directly.
